
About Chae
Chae Chaput is an actress and healthcare clown with over 20 years of experience working in the arts, including administration.
Her career has spanned the stage and screen, having performed theatrically with Artists Rise Up Los Angeles (ARULA), Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles, Troubadour Theatre Company, Writers' Theatre of New Jersey, and more. You can also see her onscreen in Just for the Weekend (Lead), The Hike (Lead), Artifact (Lead), and Chasing the Sun (Supporting), to name a few.
When Chae isn't performing, you can find her working as a professionally trained Healthcare Clown across LA County, visiting patients of all ages. With over a decade of clown experience under her belt, she has trained in various clowning styles, such as hospital pediatrics, emergency room, PICU, elder-clowning, improv, and circus. She is also the Co-Founder/Co-Director of Code Clown Healthcare with her long-time healthcare clown partner, Katie Snyder.
She received her MFA in Acting from the USC School of Dramatic Arts, her BA in Theater Arts (with double concentration in Acting & Technical Theater) from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and studied abroad at Wroxton College in Wroxton, Banbury, England. Additionally, she continued her education at various bicoastal studios such as The William Esper Studio (NYC), Sue Hamilton Studio (LA), The Aquila Studio (LA), and more. Notable clowns she has studied & worked with are Matt Walker, Virginia Scott, Dick Monday, Josh Matthews, Andrei Belgrader, Magdalena Schamberger, Tim Licata, Zach Steel, Amnon Raviv, and David "Dush" Barashi.
